About us - Hajdučke vrleti Blidinje

Situaded in Dugo Polje, at 1270 m above the sea- level. Dugo Polje is 25 km long and 3-5 km broad. On the southern part of the motel lies the Blidinje Lake which is 1184 m above the sea- level,on the northern part of the motel there is the ski- center „Risovac“ , which is 1293 m above the sea - level.



The length of the track is 929 m and the peak of the track is 1548 m above the sea - level. On the western part of the motel rises the legendary mountain of Vran (2074 m above the sea) , and on the eastern part of the motel proudly rises the mountain of Cvrsnica (2228 m above the sea) . Situaded in the world of beauty, with magnificient landscape and enviroment, where Mediterranean and Continental climate meet, lies the motel „Hajducke Vrleti“ . Roads from five directions lead to the motel „Hajducke Vrleti“: Posusje - Rakitno - Blidinje, Tomislavgrad - Lipa - Blidinje, Rama - Orasac - Kedzara-Blidinje, Jablanica - Doljani - Blidinje, Mostar - Goranci - Rosne poljane - Blidinje.

Remoted only two hours by car from the sea, this Herzegovinian destination can proudly present a preserved enviroment and unique mountain scenery of Vran and Cvrsnica. The atmosphere of an ecological oasis attracts tourists and excursionists during all four seasons of the year,because skiing and sleighing or snowball fights on the brae of Cvrsnica are as much attractive as enjoying the springtime and summer in the charms of the Blidinje Lake.

Blidinje is the call of the oasis of beauty and health. And you really do not know wether this call is more intense during springtime or during summer, when the whole area becomes a big bouquet of marvellous scenery and when everything is full of scent,everyone is resting his eyes and souls, or during winter when the whole mountain is dressed in an indiscribably pleasant white, and when it becomes harder and harder to tear oneself away from the atmosphere of a winter idyll and go back to the prosaicness of everyday life. These areas , though, were frequently flashed with stories and legends about the distant and recent past of the Polje. Of all these numerous legends which refer to these areas only the legend about the cheftain Mijat Tomic and Diva Grabovceva are absolutely essential. Mijat personifies heroism in the fight for human and national rights of the Croatian people, and Diva Grabovceva embodies the heroic fight for the preservation of her Christian belief and maiden purity. So, during your stay in the motel „Hajducke Vrleti“ do not forget about these legendary persons, Mijat and Diva.

The motel „Hajducke Vrleti“ has a restaurant and two private rooms, i.e. a total of 265 seats.In the midth of the restaurant there is a big fireplace which is open on all four sides and in which you can see a big flame that is creating a special atmosphere and warmth. In the very fireplace meals are being prepared from under the so-called „sač“ ( special iron lid covered with burning cinder). The motel has 140 beds in 8 suits and 22 rooms, among these are rooms with four. Five nad more beds. All of them are equipped with a shower, toilett and central heating. In the very near future each room will be equipped with a phone and tv-receptor. On the southern part of the motel there is a closed parking space and in front of the motel an open parking space. At the moment works are going on for the construction of a soccer field and a bowling field.

The motel „Hajducke Vrleti“ has become famous for its culinary specialities. In the motel home-made meals and national meals are being served and all products stem from the teritory of Blidinje. Rye, wheat and other cereals are being milled on the water-mill and you get first-class flour which is then being used for preparing home-made bread. Then there is the famous corn porridge with garlic juice and butter; this meal is being made from fine corn milled on the water –mill and this gives it the special taste. Then we have doughnuts, milk fat, cheese from lambskin, ham sausages, mutton and meat from billy-goat. Pickled cabbage with smoked mutton ( dry mutton,pork ribbs,neck,bacon and legs). Meals from under the „sač“ : lamb,veal,potatoes, potato halves, vegetable. „Mountain soup“ made with a lot of sodden meat ,sodden lamb,roast lamb,game,saucepan a la „Hajduk“ and many more. Aperitif : home-made „loza“ is schnapps made of first-class grapes , Ramska sliwowitz which is famous far and wide for its taste and quality , honey schnapps which is made of honey and ten medicinal herbs. A huge choice of wines from Herzegovina, part of wines are from Croatia and Slovenia. The motel „Hajducke Vrleti“ receives and organizes excursions and groups of excusionists and also organizes bussines lunchs and seminars.

The motel „Hajducke Vrleti“ unobtrusively became an essential place where all excurcionists would like to rest because it offers an atmosphere of a warm home. Walks to the Blidinje Lake ,trips to the cave of of the chieftain Mijat Tomic ,trips to the tombstones and to the grave of Diva Grabovceva, skiing on one of the three tracks which are equipped with a ski- lift and four-seaters, with a capacity of 2 000 people per hour, or simply another way of enjoying the nature which is acceptable to you, depending on the season of the year, will fulfill your day on Blidinje.
